United States Parachute Association - Competition

USPA conducts national skydiving championships each year where members compete for medal recognition and vie for spots in international competitions. Not only for hard-core competitors, these competitions also generate a unique camaraderie and challenge everyday skydivers to push their limits and achieve what wasn’t thought possible. USPA skydiving members are a tight-knit community. Nowhere else will you find so many people from different walks of life enjoying the same sport. People skydive for many different reasons, and everyone has a story to share. USPA membership includes third-party liability insurance. Let’s say a skydiver has an off-field landing and damages a neighbor’s crops, or a jumper has a tail strike and puts a dent in the aircraft. In either case, the member is covered and won’t have to pay for the damages. USPA doesn’t stop there. We also offer life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and demo insurance. USPA provides you peace of mind.

USPA represents the interests of skydivers before all levels of government—local, state, and federal. USPA is constantly battling for skydivers’ best interests, from helping members start DZs at reluctant airports, to persuading security officials to allow rigs as both carry-on and checked items on the airlines. United States Parachute Association - Safer Skies

USPA established the Basic Safety Regulations to help keep skydivers safe. Jumpers can have peace of mind knowing that all USPA Group Member drop zones have pledged to follow these safety recommendations. While skydiving is largely a self-policing sport, following these recommendations helps decrease accidents and keep the sport around for people to enjoy for years to come.
